BEET SPONGE CAKE


* serves 16 slices


Ingredients:
  • 150 g beets, puree
  • 200 g margarine
  • 200 g flour
  • 150 g sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp baking powder

Methods:
  1. Beat margarine and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition
  2. Add beet and mixture of baking powder and flour, mix well slowly
  3. Pour batter into pan greased with margarine and lined with baking paper
  4. Bake in microwave for ± 15 minutes or oven for 25 minutes
